sorry for the stupid question...

how does the ip office get its time??? have a customer that is an hour behind on the phones.....

the voicemail PC is right, but on the IP Office they are an hour behind.

where do i change that setting?

In the Manager you have a "Time server ip address" fill in the IP address of the VMPro, make sure your VMPro server has the right time from a time server.

thats what i thought. i was just making sure there wasnt another place i could check!

thanks

You could check that the "time offset" is set to (00:00) also there was a version 4.2.14 i think there was a problem with the SSA and the Time server but it just showed the wrong time if you looked on the phones (with a time of day button) the time was right.

In a Windows network one of your domain controllers will have the NTP service running (or should have) so you can use its IP address for the time server. If your servers automatically roll over for daylight saving (if that applies) hopefully the IPO will be able to keep up.

You cannot use a normal NTP server nzschooltech.

You can only use;

-Manager
-VMPro
-VM Lite (<4.2)
-Button on Phone (tick system phone/self administer 2 button)
-Or a time server based on RCF36 something.

You only need to do this if you are not running voicemail.
The time request goes
1) to the programmed VM IP address
2) The programmed Time server IP address
3) Broadcast on local lan

Take Care

I have always wished that my computer would be as easy to use as my telephone.
My wish has come true. I no longer know how to use my telephone.
