Hi, I am new to IP Office. I have searched for a definition of "connected blind" in a few of the IP Office manuals, and also online, and I can't find an official definition for "connected blind". I would like someone to post a definition for this term. Thanks in advance to those that answer.

Isn't there an official document from Avaya that defines the terms used in their log files? I feel limited by what is documented for System Status.

If there is not an official document, is there an alternative document from another source that will give me the definition of terms used with Avaya products?

I realize there are two different questions. Ideally I would like to access a glossary of terms that covers all of IP Office and includes each application such as System Status. Alternatively a glossary of terms used in System Status will help.

When reception is frustrated, everyone is frustrated.
 Please Don’t: Transfer calls unannounced (blind transfer) to colleagues unless specifically requested. Verify the colleague you intend to transfer the call to is actually available to receive the call. The reasons for this include:
1) It can be quite distressing for your colleagues to receive blind transferred calls and we have noted it as a common source of friction in many workplaces.
2) The caller has to reintroduce them self.
3) It is also annoying for the caller to be transferred to voicemail without the operator verifying a colleague can accept the call as many calls are made from mobile phones. Mobile phone calls are expensive and the caller will have to place another call if they did not wish to leave a voicemail message.

There is a system monitor document: http://www.ipofficeinfo.com/pdf/system_monitor_en.pdf
