ip office shutdown passwords

Have a ip office in quick setup mode, trying to shut down but keeps refusing to accept " administrator" or "password" saying login failed insufficent rights.

May well be you need to check the account in security settings i have known the Admin account to change its state only happened twice but may be what you are looking for

I had the same issue with 8.0.18. I pulled the power cord then the issue went away after that.

tried all 3 things a suggested above with no luck. I even went so far as to reset the whole system and installed new flash card and still cannot shut the system down. Now I do not have any cards in the system, is that causing my troubles.

The shutdown option from manager and SSA do work fine.
I did it a couple of times on 8.0.18

Hopefully pointing out the obvious but shutdown doesn't actually switch the system off. So you always will have to remove the power at the end.
 
That is why the option is called shutdown and not power off :)
