when we first started with IPO our vendor suggested doing a hub and spoke network and not adding lines to each system to mesh them together. Is that still the recommendation today?
No. Do mesh, if you have a network that will support it. If your *data* still only routes through one place, say, the "hub", then what good is a mesh if it goes down completely?
Redundancy and fail over are the first things you should plan for with any SCN. They won;t sing your priases when everything hums along perfectly but boy howdy what they'll do when it fails.
