I'm in the process of upgradding a customer to IP Office. With their current system, they can place a call on hold to another phone.
They use the dial page an extension, they talk back and forth handsfree and then the receptionist puts the call on hold on their phone.
Park buttons is an option, but this is how the existing works and they really really want it to work the same. Is this possible?

You can dial intercom and call park on another extn, so yes you can do this :)

Seems very clunky doing it this way. I can park to another extension but not dial page from the park option, its just looking for extension number. Sometimes you just have to say "that was the old system"! I think I'll add a few more park slots and park calls system wide, then they can use the dial page, while call is on system park.

Indeed, every system has its own good and bad bits. I bet their old system couldn't do half of what the IPO can. Avaya are very reluctant to put any really usefull telephony features in though. They would much rather put out half baked features/apps that are the current trend and charge a licence fee for them :)
