IP Office H323 Remote phone not happening

Hello there!

Another AVAYA IP Office Remote phone issue for me and as it has been a while since my last one I cannot remember everything I have tried in the past but, I do think I have everything set up correct, so maybe not an easy one this!

IPO R8 installed on the end of a leased line with remote handsets - works OK

Take the IPO and drop it on to a site with ADSL through Gamma in to the back of a Zyxel router with port forwarding (1719-udp, 1720-tcp, 41xxx-53xxx-udp)and drop the handsets on at another site with a Zyxel router and they do not work. Have played around for hours and all I get is the phone connected and just says "phone" in the display.

I started off with trying to log on using a handset that was already programmed and it seemed like it kept trying to log on and failed. Then i created a new extn (280), the phone can log in and just displays "phone" but nothing more.

I would appreciate any help that you are able to give - thanks very much in advance.

You ever get this working? having same issue with site to site with two Zyxel firewalls

a lot of times it is the firewall settings in the IPO because depending on the settings the encapsulation is different and can create problems with the return address for the packages.
Also NAT settings in the firewall influence the functionality and should be turned off

Can you try this NoUser source number?

REMOTE_H323=1800

This should change the port (not sure which one,1719 or 1720) to 1800

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

You still need to set up STUN on the interface your remote phone is registering against.
