Hi Guys,

Can anyone suggest anything for me.

I have a customer who did have a BCM 50 which harddrive was at the end. The BCM was linked using the Nortel CTI to pull up customers details when a Call came through.
The system is in a taxi Branch so the software is called AutoCab.
So basiclly When a recognised number calls the system the software pulls the customers details up.

On the IP office they have the CTI Pro Licence but I dont know how to link it with the software.

Has anyone every seen this?

regards,

You need to install the Tapi software from the user cd.
You can download this from the support site.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

Hi tlpeter,

Thanks for your reply,

Yeah I have gave the User Folder with both Tapi 2 and Tapi 3 which is on the User folder to the Autocab Technician guy but I Think he is lost.
I did a bit of research and I believe that the Autocab software use a Telenet to collect information from the system.
regards,

Kieran

I was hoping that the guy could sort out but now I think Im going to do some learning myself on this software. :(

I think he probably is a taxi guy. For some reason he can only contact me in the evening.lol

Cheers Guys

unless you have the essential edition license the tapi will only work in 1st party, not cti link pro 3rd party

Hi robboardman,

I do have Essential edition and the CTI Pro License for the system. Both are Valid.
Its more to do with the AutoCab software so I believe. Cant link them together.

Thanks,

Hi Guys,

does anyone know how to connect to the IPoffice using PuTTY Telnet over the LAN?

regards,

HI,

The software Autocab uses Telnet to view the CLI. can this not be done?

regards,

Most use TAPI (CTI link pro) or SMDR for such things, never heard of one using telnet...

We have a number of sites using Autocab
it requires 3rd party taPI so the CTI license is req.

I am not aware of it requiring any other connectivity but ii might need the SMDR outputting on the telnet port

Autocab should be fully aware of the requirements for connecting to an IPO it is nothing new to them

Hi IPGuru,

I have 3rd party Tapi License. Autocab have not been very helpful. I have not set the IP office SMDR setting to 23 the telnet port.
Is this a requirement of Auto cab?
Or would you have any info on the Auto cab i.e. Installation Manual etc?

Thanks,

K

we only supply the tapi driver.
it is upto the autocab installer to configure their software.

Make sure you remove the nortel LAN cte first.

Then install the tapi as 3rd party.
Use the Admin and admin password for log in details.
Or what ever you use to access the system.

As far as I know that's it.

Cheers snowman50,

I havent looked into the autocab software. I only gave the autocab tech guy the tapi that i gave to the customer. I'll get on remote, when he is onsite again and give it ago myself.

Thanks again.

Be careful getting drawn into other peoples responsibilities, whilst trying to be helpfull you also set an expectation and are becoming partially liable for the outcome just by tinkering, it can often be best to stick to what you know and what you're responsible for :)
