I have a site where the Lan Connection keeps partially working. you can ping things and browse for the IP Office in Manager, but when you try to connect to the IPO you get a message saying there is a NETWORK ERROR.

When you reboot the server it works for a few hours correctly then reverts back to partially working.

The server is Running Windows Server 2008R2 software. plus 1 virtual server, so 2* nic cards.

This is running VM Pro, Contactstore and on the virtual CCR.

IPO 500 V2 8.1.67

It is on the NHS network and their IT might think that its a port issue.

They have asked what ports does the IP office and applications use to connect outwards ie, internet.

I have looked down the firewall ports list i'm not sure if any actually try to connect to the internet.

I have a Linux server onsite running One-X without any issues.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Regards Skippy.

could be and address conflict.

Maybe a device has the same address and is only on for a short time

I have also seen LAN ports go bad on the IPO. Same issue you are describing. At first I could use Manager to sporadically connect, sometimes there would be a "network error". If I rebooted the system it would work for awhile again. I finally moved the network to LAN 2, changed the IP Address of LAN 2 to what LAN 1 was and the issue went away.

Hi Telecomboy
I would think the same but its the server we loose connectivity on we cant connect to it using our remote access software (logmein). I have also seen Lan ports on the ipo go to sleep, I have 70 IP phones on the other lanport so i don't realy wnt to change that.

Cheers Gary
