I upgrading an AT&T Definity 75 (YES FOLKS.. THIS THING IS STILL KICKING) to an Avaya IP Office.
Does anyone have a check list they'd like to share on things to consider for this cutover.

I'm looking for something like...
1- Who gets what type of phone
2- Who gets voicemail
3- How is the AutoAttendant configured

etc.

I've thought of the basic, but trying to make sure I pick up all of the little areas.

what are there voicemail requirements, call flows etc... what type of features are they looking for? what type of trunks? any remote users etc...

ACSS-SME,ACSS Avaya Aura Session Manager and System Manager,ACSS Avaya Scopia Solution,ACSS Avaya one-X UC Soft Clients,ACSS Avaya Session Border Controller, ACSS Avaya Aura Messaging,
ACSS Avaya Aura Call Center Elite, ACSS Avaya Aura CM and CM Messaging,ACIS Avaya Aura CM and CM Messaging, ACIS SME, ACIS Avaya CM 5.2.1

Here are some of my check points.

1- Who gets what type of phone
My favourite setup:
IP 9608 for all regular users (IP9611 if they are big spenders).
Button modules for those who need more than 24 pre-programmed buttons.
Receptionist: IP 9650 with 1-3 button modules

2- Who gets voicemail
Those who need it, which is very few.
Voicemail to email forwarding if they need.

3- How is the AutoAttendant configured
Can't I recommend anything else than VMPro if customers need AA's
Very well documented in the KB

4- SIP Trunk if the DSL is good enough, BRI/PRI if not.

5- A good firewall

6- Logmein for remote access

7- SMTP details

8- Network condition/layout. Possible to physically separate Telco and Data? Multiple locations?

9- User/extn list with email and mobile numbers if needed

10- Reliable PoE switch(es)

Kind regards

Gunnar
