IP Office centralised voicemail

i have 2 IP500 systems linked via SCN (1 is 5.0 and the other is 4.2 software)
They have centralised voicemail which has worked fine but now all of a sudden the secondary site doesn't get notification of their voicemail messages. They can use voicemail fine by dialing it and they are getting their voicemail messages just not notifications.
Any ideas?

try to stop and restart the voicemail pro service and retest
 
sorry I should have mentioned that I have restarted the phone system (the secondary site with the fault) and also rebooted the VM Pro server
 
Then why not upgrade the 2nd site to a 5.0 to match
