Hello

Does anyone has some experience with installing an avaya ip dect gateway and an avaya ip office server edition?
I find one doc but lots of bla bla.
Does anyone know if there is a withe paper for this hardware with IP Office

Can anyone help

Lot's of bla, bla?"

Many things could be said about Avaya, but their documentation is Pulitzer price material.
Use Knowledge base, it's packed with info on the matter, from a to z.
Follow the instructions to the letter, and it will work.

Kind regards

Gunnar

You talk about a server edition which is IP only and then using a IPDect gateway which is digital.
Why not use normal IPDect basestations?

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

The only rider to what Gunnaro says it that the IP Office DECT R4 doc is a cut-down set of notes for the most common install scenario.

DECT R4 is an enterprise product that is also used with Avaya's larger switches, ie. it can scale very large across multiple site with multiple masters and lines and has all kinds of options and so a matchingly complex admin interface. If you get tempted to step off the IP Office simple single site/single cluster of base stations path and click things not in the IP Office manual then you need to be reading the full Avaya CM DECT R4 manuals.

Stuck in a never ending cycle of file copying.

The customer site is about 350 meter large and 450 meter deep and he doesn't want to invest in cabling and fiber. The dect cabling is already present. In de the doc on the Knowledge base there is litle info on how to connect and configure more then 1 or 2 ip dect gateways so om looking for someone ho already installed one or more. Its the same as installing a ip dect but how happens the connectivity between the 2 or 3 gateways is it master slave .....

Only every had one gateway to play with but as far as I'm aware they are configured as slave or master just like the actual DECT base stations and so one is master and the others slave. Nothing (AFAIK) has to be done to tell the first gateway that there is another gateway or vice versa.

Stuck in a never ending cycle of file copying.

its ok now it seems to work i found the right manuel

thx for the info and help

It's configured like IPBS. You only have to close the sync ring with standard patch cords.
