Can anyone give me advice about using the IP Office small office wan port with ADSL, I need to know if it supports PPPoE

I have been working with a private build of Manager and 2.1 firmware, this version implements PPPoE under a new SYSADMIN manager tab under system so far so good, I am trying to get this included in V3.+

Hope this helps

Hi, I am also so interested in it. Could you let me have a look, send the Manager and firmware to wyi_cx@hotmail.com
Thank you very much.

Just wondering if you have done any PPPoE/DSL to PPPoE/DSL VoIP? I know it can be done with some impacts to quality, but just wondering if you have gotten this far?

Thanks
Neil

MrIPO,

Could you send me this private build of firmware 2.1 and Manager to: vanzenden@siol.net
I also would like to test it...
TIA

well since everyone else is asking... I wouldn't mind taking a peek at it also... if you're passing it on which somehow I doubt... *grin*

MrIPO, Could you share us your good private?

Mr. IPO,

You seem all to popular with this build. Can you tell us more? Any issues? Does it permit or block IP telephony over that link (PPPoE on DSL)? Have you tried VoIP on PPPoE? Tell us more, tell us more!

Thanks,
The Orginal Avaya Guy!

The PPPoE Private Build that I was testing, was not too good, as the username field to too small to insert the full username hence I could not perform the testing.
This was some time ago and I have not heard any news about this for 3.2 or 4.0.
I guess you would be best of using another router that supports this feature .
Cheers

Umm anotherprivatebuild !!!

IPO does work using H323 over a DSL line. Obviously you need a H323 gateway, but it does allow you to have phone lines without PRI/BRI.
