We have a new install with an IP Office 500 V2 with 7.0.23 but we are using Zeacom voice mail. I need to have the Message button on the 9630 IP phones to transfer to Zeacom VM at extension 888. Would also like to be able to rout the same feature for the softphones.

Failing that, I'll quiz Zeacom next week when I'm on the course!!!

Football is not a matter of life and death-It is far more important!!!!

the problem is that the IPO doesn't even know that there is a voicemail on the system because Zeacom takes over all routing and keeps track of all calls via CTI link so you will be out of luck I am afraid and either program a button to call the group number that Zeacom is using for message retrieval or you need to dial it manually.
Just thought that the only way to actually get it working might be to have VmPro running and take the retrieve start point for all users and transfer that to the number that the Zeacom wants you to call. But that also means you have to make sure that you untick all voicemail options in al users and groups or the Zeacom gets confused.

BAS1234- Do you have the file that made it happen on your phones? I've tried it like we discussed at pressing the button will not send the user to 888.

Just copy past this SET MSGNUM 888
into the 46xxsettings.txt you have just below the where you it says "96xx and 16cc SETTINGS", or look in the ADMIN8.0.18 there is the 46xxsettings where this was in.

Code:
############################################################
## ##
## 96xx and 16cc SETTINGS ##
## Settings applicable to 96xx and 16cc telephone models ##
## ##
############################################################
##
## Voice Mail Telephone Number
## Specifies the telephone number to be dialed
## automatically when the telephone user presses the
## Messaging button. The specified number is used to
## connect to the user's Voice Mail system.
##
## Note:
## This parameter setting is ignored for extensions
## configured as 96xx station types on the call server.
##

Bas, are you certain that this is working for a 96XX handset?

Did you try default the phones instead of reboot?

I got it to work to ring a HG with a user in it, but Zeacom uses a HG with no users in it. When you dial 888 you get Zeacom VM. But on my test system it only dials 888 if i have an actual user with a phone in it. Since the Zeacom is tied to the IPO through analog ports I'm trying to get a HG built with one of those analog extensions in it since the IPO needs it to actually ring. I think the issue is because of the CTI link. If this works I will post the whole solution. No sense in posting all the trial and error.
