Hello,

I need a run down on MOH 'for dummies' style for Internal MOH on the SD card.

My Attempts:
File: holdmusic.wav
480kb size
16bit
8khz
mono
30 secs long

(file just for testing at this point)

I have added it to SD card > Primary folder through manager > advanced > file management

I then close the file manager and reboot IP office.

But when I go to system>telephony>tones&music no files are listed there and calling *34 just plays the beeps. I do have wav selected as System Source

I think my point of failure is where I am putting the wav on the SD card or what I am doing after I put the file on the SD card, as in do I need to do anything beside paste the file and close file manager and reboot IP office...?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

It is not going to list the file. You need to set the system source to WAV file, and it will automatically look for holdmusic.wav in that primary folder. But, you say it's already set like that.

What does SSA say under resources? It should show loaded internal, or loading, for the music on hold. I've seen it not be *instant* either, it can take a minute. It's also possible the wav file is wrong. It will only play PCM wav's, i've seen it have trouble with ACM wav files.

Try to convert the wav file using ---> File | Advanced | LVM Greeting Utility

Thank you for your responses. Turns out it was working when I got to the office today. I think I wasn't waiting long enough.

It's definitely not instant!

Glad its working, thanks again.

Ok... Client wanted a different file.. I went into EFM.. deleted old file, uploaded new file, closed file management and rebooted IP office.

Now just dead air when I call *34. How long does it take for the *not instant* sync to take place?

Thanks all.

Sweet! New file is playing :) I am SO thankful for this forum
