Is there anyway to "0" out of a Hunt group mailbox. If I get to the mailbox and hit "0" I get the prompt "no operator to find, returned to previous activity, for help press * H, record at the tone" and then I can just leave a message.

Not sure if you can breakout of a huntgroup voice mail but there is a setting in the IPO Manager - System - Voicemail

DTMF Breakout: Software level = IP Office 5.0+
Previous breakout numbers for a user mailbox were set through the user voicemail settings. IP Office 5.0+ allows system defaults to be set. These are then applied to all user mailboxes unless the users own settings differ.

· Reception / Breakout (DTMF 0)
The number to which a caller is transferred if they press 0 while listening to the mailbox greeting rather than leaving a message (*0 on embedded voicemail).

· For systems set to Intuity emulation mode, the mailbox user can also access this option when collecting their messages by dialing *0.

· If the mailbox has been reached through a call flow containing a Leave Mail action, the option provided when 0 is pressed are:

· For IP Office mode, the call follows the Leave Mail action's Failure or Success results connections depending on whether the caller pressed 0 before or after the record tone.

· For Intuity mode, pressing 0 always follows the Reception / Breakout (DTMF 0) setting.

· Breakout (DTMF 2)
The number to which a caller is transferred if they press 2 while listening to the mailbox greeting rather than leaving a message (*2 on embedded voicemail). Pre-IP Office 5.0 this option is not support for Voicemail Pro running in IP Office mailbox mode.

· Breakout (DTMF 3)
The number to which a caller is transferred if they press 3 while listening to the mailbox greeting rather than leaving a message (*3 on embedded voicemail). Pre-IP Office 5.0 this option is not support for Voicemail Pro running in IP Office mailbox mode.

Thanks. That is just for User VM Boxes though. I don't see anywhere where I can program a 0 out for Hunt Groups.

have you tryed the system default area -- I am not sure there is an option for huntgroup breakouts

Pretty sure it is "No operator defined"

You could sharpen your vmpro callflow skills and build a custom handler for you group which includes a menu/transfer actions.

I don't follow you. Can you build menu/transfer options when it gets to a Hunt Group VM Box?

Sure why not. If you are not using hg leave for anything like AA then simply build hg/leave starting with a menu action.

Go into Voicemail Pro, under Groups, add a Group (you will choose the existing group from the drop-down menu) and create a leave mail action. You can then set-up a menu off the start point to include a 0-out wherever you want.

I did that and that worked sort of. What do I have to do, put a menu prompt on there that says "you have reached Hunt Group XYZ, to leave a message press 1, to speak to an operator, press 0"? I don't know if that is going to work for them. Anyway to get it to go to the Hunt Group VM box and press 0 from there?

If you have vmpro then you could do this

Go to the group "leave" start point

Then put in a menu with a 0 in it
Put in the recording in to the menu
Also put in a timeout and point that to a voice question
Put in a mc_01 as wav (1 sec silence)and put in a record

When you hear the recording(in the menu) you are still in the menu and you can zero out of the menu and point it to where ever you want
If no zero then you get the mailbox

Thanks. But what if they are looking to do it once they get the Hunt group VM, not before?

Then they are out of luck. Breakout is not supported or offered on group boxes. Everything here is a work around.

do you mean pressing 0 once the recording starts?
that doesn't work for users either, but otherwise you can do as TLPETER suggested, or Kyle has it on his website to see (makes it easier to cheat off something you look at ;-) )

Thanks all. I was able to get it accomplished following Westi's post.

cool, but it was borrowed from KHolladay's website so if you find him somewhere in a thread here give him a star.
