IP OFFICE 500 PRI Setup

I have installed 6 ip office. But never have installed one with a PRI. Anyone have a link to assist me in this? Or maybe able to walk me through it?

Pri is pretty easy to work with and the IPO eats it for breakfast. As long as the provider is set for NI2 and you has 23b channels then default setup for the line will go unaltered except for changing the B channels from Out Of Service to In Service. To keep it simple change any existing line group number for existing trunks to anything other than 0.

Add one incoming route per DID and make ARS for SCs set to line group 0.

If you need to send a particular number to the world when you dial out the modify ARS SCs Telephone field to Nsi + nuner to send. Generally speaking the number sent has to be a valid DID.

Or you could goto marketingtools.avaya.com/knowledgebase and research PRI.

 
Thank you for the response. The PRI only has 12 channels, i have set only 12 channels in service, rest are out of service. Problem i am running into is finding where to enter the DID's, and point certain numbers to extensions. I can't seem to find any documentation on this.
 
Sorry, i misread the post about adding a incoming call route for each DID. So for 40 nubers i would need to enter 40 incoming call routes?
 
Incoming call route section in Manager, the DDI goes in the Invoming number field and selectthe detination in the destinations tab/box :)

Do not forget to check the line id in the incoming call route !

Great Response guys.. As its my first PRI, i am really nervous. We are cutting today at 2pm from one location to another. So the longer it takes me to get the PRI up, the longer the customer is going to be down.

we have no live here and so if you need help you will get it here and also some things you don't need to hear or want to hear, LOL.
make also sure you know how many digits the CO sends you on the PRI and with all the advise up in the thread you should be fine.

Agreed. we are all here far too much. which is so reassuring. i would actually consider posting here before ringing my disti. make your own minds up about what that says about me, them, and you lot!

Never argue with an idiot. bystanders won't be able to tell the difference.
 
for entering DDIs don't bother putting in more than 2 or 3 manually, go to Tools - MSN Configuration and add them in there, takes about 10 seconds to do hundreds.

If the PRI doesn't come on first go, switch on/off CRC Checking, although I'm not familiar with that setting in the states it's the only thing that causes problems for me.

It happens enough that the provider says crc is of but it is actualy on
