Does anyone have any info on how to access the IPO when someone forgot the password they used during install?

1) Get a 9 pin straight through modem cable
2) Hit the person who forgot the password with the cable
3) Connect to the system with the cable using hyperterminal ( settings in help file)
4) Type at-securityresetall
5) Enter the MAC address that is displayed
6) Passwords are now default :)

Not happy with Avaya ATM....

• Bits per second: 38,400.
• Data bits: 8.
• Parity: None.
• Stop Bits: 1.
• Flow Control: None.

You always try logging in security settings first and changing the Admin password or adding another admin user, as long as they didn't change that too :)

Whoa... the DTE cable should always be last resotr. Which password was forgotten?

safe but probably unnecessary (unless they were one of the smart one who actually did change the security access password as well as the admin one).

only after you DTE'd only after you DTE'd you DTE'r young whipper snappers just whipping out their DTE cables at the first hint of a problem when I'm expected to write stuff at a million miles an hours and read it twice as fast and someone nicked my DTE cable is what I'd like to think even though I know in reality its probably in that massive pile of cables I need to sort if I get a spare day...

The amount of systems i've seen where the admin password has been changed but the security settings password hasn't isn't even funny anymore. how thick can you be?

It is stupid and it means that the installer or does not know it or is too stupid to think about it!
When you change one then you need to change all.
