hi folks,

we changed our network and installed an terminal server on a windows server 2008 (64bit).

is there any chance to work with the avaya ip office 406 any more?

first of all i think we need a new version of the phone manager lite (current: 3.1.1.2).

is it possible that every terminal server user has got his own phone manager installation?

whar else do we need?

thx.

tim

Terminal server is not supported but should work.
Be aware that tapi does not work at all!!!

where can i get the a newer version of the phone manager lite?

It depends what software level the IP office is on, only the highest supported version for the equipment your using is available from Avaya, any lower and you friend tlpeter can help you out there :)

i currently downloading the newest user and admin cd ;-)

do i need to upgrade the ip office the version 5.0.15 when i want to use this version of the phone manager lite?

Your system may not be capable of taking it, it needs to be a 406v2 (has dig and analogue phone ports on the main unit) and have enough free memory, PCS 8 and higher are fine PCS 7 may not have enough, you can check this with system monitor in the first few lines it states the free memory this needs to be 6 digits long as oppose to 5. Also there are some big changes between what you have and R5 you need to read the tech bulletins :)

do you have an Avaya Business Partner? I wouldnt tackle such a major upgrade without some hand holding, becuase if it all goes wrong would you know what to do?

e.g - DTE port recovery etc?
