IP Office 11.0.4 FP1 Password extension change 1

Can the Password extension password length be changed to less than 9 digits. Default is 9-13 digits but customer is complaining that 9 digits is to long for users to remember. Go figure. I am looking in security section but not sure where it is under. Any info would be appreciated.

If users are having to remember it and/or if its having to be entered more than once then something is being done wrong. Its only needed for the original extension registration. Whats actually happening? If they are using the wrong (non-IP Office) log out controls then teach them not to.

Stuck in a never ending cycle of file copying.

if they use it for hotdesking you can use a shortcode

this would log them in and enter the password for them.
Downside of course is that everyone can log into everyone's extension with this so I would insist on changing my password.

You're a legend Westi, I had no idea you could do this. This will definitely save us some headaches with users that can't remember an 8 digit number. (But somehow can remember hundreds of phone numbers....)

So you mean the Login code not the password. Password is used with Apps and web Management, Login code is used on physical phones.
