The only real "pitfall" is the case sensitivity. The phone looks for capital letters when getting the script file. You will need to make a capitalized copy of the scripts on the unix tftp server.
I use Linux 7.1 and have no problems with both the DHCP and TFTP. The 3.X version of DHCP changes the option format significantly over 2.X. but works fine.
Avaya has a program available on the web-site called boottest that will verify the total install with the exception of the capitalization issue. James Middleton
