IP 500 Release 6 conferencing

Hello!
I have just installed a rel.6 IP500 and the conferencing is no longer available as the extended feature web based etc application.
Obviously I can still set up a meet me dialin PIN number access with the 1 beep enter - 2 beep leave.

Can I announce the caller?

I have tried the listen and the whisper objects but to no avail.

Has anyone done this?
Can it be done?

As always, any help is appreciated.

It can be done via the whisper action, I have done it a long time ago and seen it done since but the exact config escapes me at the moment, what have you tried

I thought I have tried everything, maybe just did not have a couple of things right. I did use whisper.


I believe that you use question to record the name and then whisper to announce, I could record the name, albeit with "your call is being recorded" on the announcement but, it just cut me off afterwards.


I will remote in and get a screenshot.

Hi amriddle01,
I went back to the whisper as you had said this was hte way to do it, I found an exercise guide on AVAYA and went back and re-did it. My only mistake was in the "play to" field where I had omitted the "*" for the meet me short code that I had set up.

Now I just have to work out how to let them know a person has left!
