Avaya Ip office ver. 8.1 auto intercom buttons not working on 1416 sets -- was told that Avaya disallowed this due to privacy issues. Any input on fix ?
Try using "Dial Direct" as the feature, I doubt it was disabled as the ability to do it or have it done to you is controlled by system settings not the handset
check if the User has deny auto intercom enabled
I actually just tried it and replaced my beloved 6408D+ with a 1416 to make sure that it works. R8.1.67
Give a tech a solution and he will be back tomorrow to ask you the next question, teach a tech how to read the manual and he will be able to solve the problems for a life time.
