I am running Windows 98 and have run into a problem.
I will try and be as detailed as possible. As soon as the 98 splash screen appears, it disappears and Scandisk starts. The first message:
"scandisk detected an invalid long filename entry on this drive but was unable to fix it. to fix this problem run scandisk for windows. Then I get a second message:
"Scan disk is searching drive c for crosslinked files".This is where it my pc locks up. When I try to start in safe mode, this message appears:
While initializing device IOS:Error: an i\o subsystem driver failed to load. Either a file in the .\iosubsys directory is corrupt,or the system is low on memory. Is there anyone that can help me with this problem.I have no idea about any of it.
Thanks in advance.
