We have an Intuity Audix (ia5.1.37 ) and some users sometimes report they are getting messages late. They claim they have been in the office all day and checked Voicemail regularly but there were no new voice messages. The next day, however, they have several new messages, all arrived the day before.
Has anybody heard of this before? I’m relatively new to AVAYA PABX so I have no idea if this is a know bug..

Regards,

Frank

check the subscribers voicemail boxes page 2 for the following settings: (shown in bold) fifo = First in, First Out / unfda = undelivered, nondeliverable, file cabinet, delivered, accessed.

INCOMING MAILBOX Order: fifo Category Order: nuo
Retention Times (days), New: 10 Old: 10 Unopened: 10
OUTGOING MAILBOX Order: fifo Category Order: unfda
Retention Times(days), File Cab: 10 Delivered/Nondeliverable: 5

I would check the "display activity xxxx" log in the Intuity to see if it supports their allegations. Usually I find that they hit the "#" key or some other way skipped over the message. If the message is coming from another mailbox, then the Intuity can hold the message if the mailbox is full, or if there are networked Intuitys there can be delays due to trunk resources shortage.
Find out from them who the message was from and times when they checked their messages and other particulars.
Some users try to the use the Intuity to cover for their mistakes, so some admistrators are charging the users' department if they find out it is the users malicious fault.

thank you both, I will compare the users 'testimony' with the systems activity log, I have a feeling as well that the user might be doing something wrong and (maybe unintentionally) want to blame Audix for it.
