I'm new to IP Office systems so please bear with me!
I'm setting up an IP Office 500 (version 7.0) system for my church who currently has a Partner ACS R3.0 system. The reason for the upgrade is not because I feel like pulling my hair out but because we have another building that needs extensions and the only way to get them connected is IP. I'm trying to set the system up as close to partner system as possible (IE: a key system), to alleviate the learning curve. I played with Quick Mode and it works perfectly except for the lack of IP extensions. That mode works perfectly for what we need which is to be expected. Obviously Partner mode is out as well due to the lack of IP extensions.
I'm stuck with three items. On a partner system, you have intercom buttons and when you press one, you get an intercom dialtone. Is that possible on IP Office? Right now I have the intercom button setup as an appearance and I get a regular dialtone. I don't want that so people know they are dialing an extension not an outside line.
Also, we have 4 analog lines. 2 of them are for one office and the other 2 are for another office. How do I make the calls from one office go out 1 of the first 2 lines and calls from the other office go out 1 of the remaining 2 lines? I have each pair of lines in a group (group 0 and 1) and can route inbound calls OK, now I'm just having trouble routing outbound calls. We don't want to have to dial a prefix to get there. Is there a way I can filter extensions to go out certain lines?
All the lines mentioned above ring to all phones via 2 huntgroups. Is it possible to change the ring on one of the groups so the receptionist knows not to answer it? We have that currently with the Partner system but I don't think it's possible with IP Office. I figured I'd ask though...
Thanks in advance for any help you can give me!
