We're having trouble getting a new paging setup to work. We have a G3R R9. Program ch paging loudspeaker put in Aux trunk port and TAC code. We run from this port with copper over to the amp of the speaker. The system works but we gt real bad feedback. Something also shorts the paging system because everytime we plug in it stays on all the time even when your paging or not paging. We're going to try to install a Lucent 909 Universal Coupler but have no instructins. Can anyone help?

I have the 909 connected like you discribe. The only info I can give you is how my dip switches are. The top switch is set at C2 paging. The rest are 1=u 2=u 3=d 4=u 5=u and 6=d. U means towards the right and d meand towards the left. U also means towards the numbers. d = closed.

the top RJ jack is going towards the Aux pack. The other 2 RJ are buried in the MDF and I cannot find where they go?

Hope this helps

Feedback? Turn down volume or use a phone that is not near a speaker! Not sure what you mean by "everytime we plug in it stays on all the time even when your paging or not paging". The amplifier itself will stay on all of the time. You can downlaod instructions at for any Avaya product.

I have what you are looking for in an old maintenance manuel. If you will leave me an email address I will get it to you.
