Yesterday I installed the latest WinXP Service Pack 2 and following installation, my Internet Explorer won't connect to the net. ??????

Thanks! This happened on my home computer so last night I couldn't even get to Microsoft Support to look for info!

Looking at the recommended Microsoft Knowledge Base Article 870700, my problem is not 100% network connection realated. My e-mail and Instant Messageing software connects and works fine. I'll have to sort through this tonight.

I have the same problem. So far, all I have been able to come up with is to disable the network connection and then enable it again. Problem is, I have to do this each time I restart the pc....but it works

Have you guys resolved the problem. I have a client expereincing the exact thing.

Check your security settings. If they have changed to the highest level, you may not be able to connect as IE will refuse any connections. Also, I'd check the firewall, you didn't mention whether or not you were using the MS SP-2 firewall or a third party FW. If you don't disable the MS FW while using the third party FW, that can cause problems too. If you are just using the MS FW, check its security settings as well.
