Somehow I have some conflicting report of hard drive size. If I do a right click on the "D" drive/Properties and then under the General tab, Used space is 18GB, Free space is 93.7GB, and total capacity is 111GB. However, when I highlight all the folders in the "D" drive and go to properties, under General tab, the Size is 13.7GB and the Size on disk is 13.8GB. So the question is, why is there a 4GB discrepancy between the two methods? What is the correct size?

When you highlight the folders, it may not be including hidden folders and/or files.

Under properties, it's counting everything.

Thanks for the response. I did uncheck the hide protected operting system files option in the folder options also and still there is the 4GB difference.

Is the your hard drive partitioned? Maybe the 4gb is another partition.

No, it's not partition. I thought it could be virus but I did a full system scan with Symantec antivirus and nothing comes up.
