if someone sends mail to me with return receipt on, can I deny the return receipt?

Both using outlook 2000
Both on exchange 5.5
Each on different exchange servers

Howdy:

In a nutshell.. Yep. The choice is entirely yours unless you have the option to automatically send an acknowledgement checked off.

I looked in tools > Options > E-mail options on the general tab > tracking options and I can't seem to see where the "automatically send an acknowledgement" is.

Can you assist on the navagation?

Outlook 2000

I should have said I see the "automatically send an acknowledgement" but it's grayed out and indicates it applies ontl to messages comming through internet e-mail transports.

The option you want with Exchange is only available on Outlook 2002 not on 2000.

Thanks Carrr

I will certainly give it a try and let you know if it works for me.

Thanks Joegz

Yes I believe you to be correct, until I go to 2002 I can not stop my request for receipt from returning to the requestor.

Thanks also Carrr

It was an informative article and shows the above to be true unless outlook was installed in the corporate workgroup (CW) mode.

At least that's the way I understand it.

Thanks again
