ObsoleteArchitecture
Technical User
Hello! I have just acquired an RS/6000 machine. It is an E30 and has a PowerPC CPU(133Mhz). I am trying to install Windows NT 4 on it. The HCL for NT4 lists this system as being tested and fully functional. I am able to navigate the system management menus and select the CDROM or Floppy as the default boot device. I have installation media for both. However, the unit refuses to boot from either of these and simply defaults back to the hard drive. I know the media is good as I can boot from it in multiple other machines. Do I have to do anything special to boot from these media since this machine has a different architecture?
