Hi,

I am using FPW26a. when i try open my project file it's giving me this error.

Rgds,
Murali.

If there is another programmer in your area, do they have the project file open. Only one person can have a project table open at one time.

If there is noone else there that would have the file open, Rebuilt it or callin a backup copy. David W. Grewe

Murali,
I'm just curious, is the project on a local drive, or on the network?

Rick

Hi,

Sorry guys for the late replay. The project file is on the network.

Murali.

Hi,

Sorry guys for the late replay. The project file is on the network. But i am able to open the same project in different place.

Murali.

Murali,
It is likely that this "IO Error" is being caused by your network connection / configuration. Check to see if you are running the same network client version and that it's configured the same as those that work. Next, check the NIC, cabling, the switch / hub port and any other piece of the network connection that the "bad" workstation goes through different from a "good" one.

I'd forgotten that potential source for that error. Now that you've reminded me, you and Murali might want to visit and get the free "FixDrive" program - it solved our problems with this specific situation (it's just been a while!).
