Question Senk1s. If hunt groups do not follow FWD no answer or FWD on busy rules per the Installation guide how will your overflow set go to voicemail if the call originated from a hunt group. Would it be better just to have the VMail DN be the overflow so it goes directly to your greetings.
we have four phones in hunt group one. If no one answer the phone after 10 ring, we would like for the call to go to VM. Right now the call returns to AA.
You can overflow to one of the extensions in the hunt group and put a mailbox on that set. When it is not practical to use an extension in the hunt group, I have overflowed the call to an ATA with a MB that is forwarded to VM. Message notification is to the managers set of the hunt group. When they night post the calls go directly to the group MB (ATA).
