How do you connect a laptop directly to the 2200dtn printer in order to configure the TCP/IP information?

You would either use a hub or a crossover cable.
Print out a configuration page (hold reset and press the go button), and it will tell you what the current IP address is.
Set your laptop on an IP in the same class, telnet in, and make the changes.
Remember, once you commit the changes, you will be disconnected (if you change the IP address)
