When I look at the Windows properties page of our HP 8000 printer, in the "Features" section, it shows the print as using 8ppm. This printer is rated for 24ppm. Any thoughts what might be limiting this?

Check which driver is being used. It sounds like maybe they are using a laserjet 4 driver which is rated at 8ppm.

Currently using the "HP LaserJet 8000 Series PCL 5e" driver. Thanks for the idea though.

Have you printed internal pages from the printer (menu map, configuration page etc) to see if these pages get out with normal speed?
