Aside from any performance benchmarks, and aside from having any identifying labels or markings on the physical card or port itself, how would one know if it's USB 2.0?
I've looked in Device Manager (this is an XP Pro system), and it shows a lot of USB stuff--
Standard Enhanced PCI to USB Host controller
Standard OpenHCD USB Controller
USB Mass Storage Device
USB Root Hub
...etc, etc, some of the above are repeated a few times as well.
I've checked all the tabs in the Properties of each of the above and there is *nothing* that identifies the USB version of either the device I have plugged in or the actual USB port itself.
So without anything to really test the actual transfer speed, (the memory card in the one storage device was clocked at less than 1 MB/sec.-- 1/10th of even USB 1.1, so that's no help) how could I verify what my PC's motherboard USB ports are?
