So I have a group of about 40 phones in a sales room that I want to be muted during a certain day of the week at a certain time range for the weekly meeting. The phones that ring are either set to twinning or nothing at all and someone is calling directly to them. My suggestion was just to turn down the volume on the physical phones. No one is there to answer them anyhow and phones set to twin also rings to the cell. Anyone know a way to just cut off a group of phones from ringing, like if I joined them all to a hunt group or something. The handsets are digital and analog, not VOIP. Thanks for any suggestions.

Don't forget you can use Do Not Disturb on individual phones

DND

but not sure if they be applied to a group.

You can use DND on the phones. I would have users rights turn it on and off on a time schedule you set up.

Yeah I know about DND, but it disables twinning and there's no scheduler for it. I don't want to have to apply DND to 15 phones every other week on Wednesdays from 1-3. That would be quite a nuisance. My suggestion is to just turn down the volumes on the phones. The extensions are twinning to the cell phones anyhow which are usually muted as too, but accepting the voicemails because of my ring duration settings. I thought about a Huntgroup as well, but didn't see a universal DND feature in Manager. Thanks for the idea though.

Where is the scheduler in User Rights? These are all plain analog lines. Also, I read in the manual that activating DND disables Twinning. Would it reactivate itself or would I need to manually reactivate it every time? Thanks again.

I am not sure on the twinning. You would need to create a time profile and then apply it to the users. you will end up with 2 users rights assigned to the users. they can be exactly the same with only DND checked in 1 of them.

I'll give it a test. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

I guess you could put a time profile on ICR.

Thanks Janni, I just watched a Youtube Video. I'm going to test it out.
