Hi we have recently purchased two 0845 numbers and we would like to present them on the outgoing call instead of the DDI numbers that belong to our ISDN. i am unsure how to do this after trying several different short codes. What i am trying to achieve is for one group of users to dial out with one of the 0845 number and another group of users to dial out using the send 0845. I am not entire sure that this is even possible. the short codes i have tried are as follows:

Code: ?
Telephone number: .S0845XXXXXXX
Feature: Dial
Line Group ID: 2

Result: displays Main bearer number instead of DDI or 0845 number

Code: ?
Telephone number: .SS0845XXXXXXX
Feature: Dial
Line Group ID: 2

Result: unable to finish dialing, line drops

Code: ?
Telephone number: .SS0845XXXXXXX
Feature: Dial
Line Group ID: 2

Result: unable to finish dialing, line drops

Code: ?
Telephone number: .NSI0845XXXXXXX
Feature: Dial
Line Group ID: 2

Result: unable to finish dialing, line drops

The line provider needs to do this, it's a chargeable service (presentation number). Calls to 0845 numbers actually come in on a standard DDI, the system never sees the 0845 number, so you need to tell them which DDI needs to display the 0845 instead :-)

ISDN Type 5 CLI is what you want. This is only available on ISDN 30, not ISDN 2. On ISDN 2 you can only get "Special Presentation Number" which is 1 number set on the circuit by the line provider.

With Type 5 you will probably need an out going short code like: ? ¦ Dial ¦ .Si8451234567 ¦ 0 they don't usually want the leading 0

Hi Jamie77, All our phone lines are ISDN 30s, in fact we have 2 ISDN 30s. Also thanks for the suggestion, i have just tried that and it displayed the main bearer instead of the 0845 number.

hi amriddle01, Thanks i have been speaking with out provider about displaying the 0845 numbers instead of the DDI and apparently we should be able to set the display to the 0845 number via an online portal for our account, so far they have given access to two different portals and they both are fro configuring the incoming route of the 0845 number not the outgoing display.... i am beginning to think that they have no idea what they are talking about lol.

Sounds like you have normal CLI on the lines and not Type 5 CLI if it showed the bearer. you won't get the 0845 programmable on the IP Office without Type 5.

Ask your line provider to change your outgoing CLI type to "Type 5"

During the setting up of the 0845 they did ask if our Phone system is compatible with Type 5 Presentation so one would assume that they have already enabled it. We have an Avaya IPOffice 500, admittedly it was my colleague who answered the providers question whilst i on leave as to whether out PBX was compatible or not with type 5 CLI presentation. I have since tried to find out for sure but have had no luck in finding out for definite. I don't suppose that you would know how to find that information? my usual savior Google has been very un-forthcoming.

Tried

Code: ?
Telephone number: .S0845E
Feature: Dial
Line Group ID: 2

Where E is the extension number (you might need more digits to compleet the DDI number), i had to do this in Germany once.

Your provider ISDN provider has the info needed. Who is it?? Is it the same for your ISDN as your 0845's???

Let me know if you really struggle. I may be able to help. We are a BT wholesaler so can access some info. I would need you post code and bearer number though. I understand if you don't want to hand that over and don't do publicly on here.
