Hello, first off I am not a telephony engineer or anywhere close so please bare with me. We have an IP Office and our telephony provider is telling us that it is not possible to pick up other extensions because of the SIP trunks (if we had PRI this wouldnt have been a problem) So for example -
I phone xxx xxxx 110 which rings but that user is away from their desk so ext 115 wants to answer the call on their belhaf before the VM kicks in... what is the easiest way to do this if it is even possible?
When we tried it the 110 stops ringing and the number shows up on the top line of the handset (115) but the caller continues to get a ringing and the 115 just hears nothing. (this was using DxPickup, I think), the same happened for CallPickup. DxPickup and CallPickup might just be aliases our engineer gave for the command im not 100% sure.
Anyone have any ideas?
Cheers,
Peter
