I have a TN763 in my Definity G3 v9. The PBX is setup to use a paging system on one of those ports. I want to setup a little CD player or radio for "Music on Hold".

Can some one explain to me how to go about doing this. I am fairly new to the PBX technology. I can get around and do basic admin stuff mut never set this type of thing up before.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.....

I am sure that you are aware of licensing issues. It is my understanding that it is illegal to use a radio station for MOH.

Yes, I am aware of the license issue of Radio Stations. I will probably be using a cd player to play one of our company marketing cd's.

Do you have any idea how this is setup?

You can connect it on different ways, also depending on your location and your musicsource (FCC rules).
You can either connect it directly to an analog port with or without universal coupler, or connect it using an auxillary trunk board with an universal coupler.
Take a look in the manuals and look for the book that describes "Installation for Adjuncts and Peripherals"
In this book there are also some schematics that explains how to connect the system.
We in the Netherlands have to use the Auxillary Trunk Board and the Universal Coupler, and all it takes is just connect 3 cables... 1 to the switch, 1 to the music source and the last to the power supply for the Universal Coupler.

So it isn't really a hard job to install it.

Hope this helps..

John
