I am running w2003 server with 2 DC's, DNS, WINS and DHCP.
DHCP lease = 2 days
I have noticed that my DNS records are old and showing ips for computers that have not been on the network for some time. As well these old listed IP's in the DNS are actually being used by other computers. DHCP Address leases seems to be accurate.
We notice on the properties of the DNS server that Enable auto scavaging of stale records was not checked.
Also the Set Aging/Scavenging for all Zones was not check either.
I have enabled both and used the default of 7 days.
Have I done the right thing to keep DNS up to date and is there anything I'm missing?
