I have a hunt group set up with vector set to Y and also assigned an extension to that hunt group. When the agent logs in, calls are received, but how do I add a vector if I want a message to be played? I tried add vector and that won't work.
Thanks TJ

Use the "list vector" command to find the vectors you are using. The enter the "change vector ??" and change one you are not using to what you need.

"You don't stop playing because you get old. You get old because you stopped playing."

For the best response to a question, read FAQ222-2244.

Are you only allowed so many vectors in a switch? I have G3si. I would ideally like to add a new one, but if I have to redesign an old one I guess that would work.

Changing one that is not being used is effectively adding a new one. Do list vector. You may see 1,2,3,... and so on. If it says "No data" then you may not be using any. Try change vector 1 and see if there is anything there. You can't add new ones, as the place holders are already there. You need only to put the info into the vector, then point calls to it thru VDN or otherwise.

Clarification on what 84Mike said. "List vector" may show 1,2,3,5,6. This shows you that 4 is not being used and you can do a "change vector 4". Once there is data in the vector, "list vector" will show 1,2,3,4,5,6.

The main point is that you use the "change" command to "add" a vector. Not the "add".
