How do I get the email message id

I have an app where I put all my inbox messages into an MS Access table and show them in an MS Access continuous form. I now want to open the actual email by double clicking on one of the lines. Do I need to store the mail ID in my table and use that to get the time by id? If so what is the name of the id field in the outlook folder? Any advice is helpful. Thanks.
