How do I display abbreviated dialing list?

I'm typing "display abbreviated dialing" then I want to see the enhanced. Which should be # 3 but it's not working..

Try "disp abb en" 3 or 03

If you're on a 715 terminal, "HELP" will show the command choices. On ASA or Emulator "F5" does the trick. "display abbreviated-dialing" can be "personal", "group", "system" or "enhanced". System is generic, Group and Enhanced are by List number, and personal is by extension number.

I did the "disp abb en" 3 or 03
that didn't work so I added the enhanced followed by 3 or 03 or 103 and that did not work.

Hi,

Firstly - 'disp feat'

now check abb lists against your station abb lists:
Feature code
list 1 = #1 on station list 1 is set to e.g. - system
list 2 = #2 on station list 2 is set to e.g. - personal
list 3 = #3 on station list 3 is set to e.g. - enhanced

so to access the enhanced list in this case - dial #3

now ....add enhanced groups in blocks of 100

'add abb enh 1' - set multiples of 5 to 100

this activates the first 100 block...so - #3100 to #3199

for the next 100 block - 'add abb enh 2' = #3200 to #3299

etc.. etc....this will give you a max of 1000 enh abb's

if you - 'add abb enh 01' etc... etc... this will give 10,000 enh abb dials.

I'm sorry I meant how do I change or display the abb. dialing? I need to figure out what the list do ie.
abrv-dial list: 3 DC:990

I did a disp abb dial en 0 and that showed me something but I'm trying to get list 3 for DC 990.

Can't figure out why it's not taking a 3 or 03.

List 3 applies to the station it is defined on. Look at page 3 of the station, and you'll see List 1: ________ List 2: _________ List 3: ________. Now, it probably says List 1: Personal, List 2: Group and List 3: Enhanced 1

If it's Enhanced 1 - change abb en 9, and then go to page 4 and edit line 990. If it's Enhanced 2, then cha abb en list 2 9 and edit line 990...

That should do it... I would write down the original entry for your records.
