how can I print barcodes in pcl files?

I have a PCL file which contains barcodes (3 of 9 barcode SymbolSet=0Y) but I can't see this when I print it using an Hitachi printer DDP70.( This file is printed corectly with Xerox printer)
I can see only some digits in the place where the barcode is and the rest of document is correctly printed.
What's the matter? Perhaps I need especial fonts for Hitachi printer. Is possible to use ttf fonts?
Where can I find this barcode font for printer?
And how can I download it in printer?

Your Xerox printer would appear to contain an internal 3of9 barcode font and the Hitachi does not. You will have to get a 3of9 PCL soft font to use with the Hitachi.

There's another way.
I just had to do that and what I did was this.
It may seem like a long way around but it works great.

I have a 3 of 9 font for windows I downloaded.
I made a little html file and printed the barcode in it
using <font size=whatever face=&quot;3 of 9 Barcode&quot;>
I then called it up in internet explorer and press printscreen which put it on the clipboard.

I then went to PaintShop Pro and captured it and saved it
as a GIF file.

I have an old DOS program that will print out pictures
on different printers. the program is called VUIMG.

I went to that, defined the size, and that it was for a laserjet and printed it to a file. This is a raster graphics PCL file.

I then modified the file and removed the first two bytes
which was a reset (Esc E), and modified 11th character (I think) to make the sequence from Esc*r0A to Esc*r1A.

That 1 keeps the printer from resetting and 2 tells it to start printing at the current location.

I can then set the position in my program, and either load the modified file or just read it in as a binary file and send it to the printer.

Now this wont help you if you want bar codes on the fly but
if it's a fixed code it will work.
