I have a Norstar MICS system with I believe 5.0 Software. I also have a Norstar Flash that was used with a CICS system. I would like to know how I would go about connecting this Flash to the MICS system. The Flash box has two RJ11 jacks below the power connector. The compartment at the bottom door comes off and I see a connector with nothing hooked to it. The information on the flash card is as follows,

NNTM8455PO4U 2001/05/03
NT5B78EC 002 Rel 02
E/S FLASH VM 2.0.10 FEAT CART
2002/11

I installed the MICS system and can handle hooking the unit up. I just haven't ever experimented with hooking up voice mail. Thanks for any help.

You connect one digital station per active port on the Flash. If the door at the bottom of the Flash has a "2" you only connect a station to the top port. If it has a "4" you'll connect a station to both ports.

The unit has a 2 at the bottom. When I removed this unit it has a line connected to both ports for some reason. So I can use any DN port on my system and connect it to the port labeled 2. I am guessing that I program the lines I want to send to the Flash to ring at that DN? Also how much record time can the Flash unit hold? Is there a password reset for the flash? Thanks for your help.

no, you must prog AA for line to be answered. No passwords are allowed on this site.Do a search for all info has been addressed many times on this forum

As I have it now the AA picks up the line and the greeting gives the 3 digit ext number for the phones that would need to receive the call. Is there away to program it so the AA greeting would only have to say 1 for sales, 2 for billing and so forwards without having to give all the ext numbers and hunt group numbers?

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. I got it figured out.

Congratulations. That is one of the tougher parts of programming to walk someone through.
