Hold vs Park problem...

I have a location that did have a 401. I replaced/upgraded to a 406. I copied the cfg to the new box and all seemed to work well. Now however the location swears they used to be able to put a call on HOLD and go to any other phone and pick it up by hitting the "Line Appearance" programmed DSS buttons(there are 4-701,702,703,704 for the 4 inbound lines).

Am I missing something?

how do you go from a 401 to a 406 by copying the config? Did you just copy the config entities that don't pertain to any particular system and then build the rest from scratch?
 
Yes, pretty much that way. Still not sure how they were using the HOLD button and picking up calls at other stations though.
 
Did they have DT phones before and now have DS?
 
If they were using Line Appearance to pickup the call and the "Can be intruded" and "Can intrude" options are both selected then you can absolutely answer a call held at another extension.
