Could someone tell me how to hide a logical drive on a (D:)on a primary HDD.

Also I would assign drive D: to the CD ROM and E second HDD partition, is this posable?

Are you trying to hide an extended logical dos partition? Is the drive (D:) a zip drive? You have to CLARIFY your question, it is very difficult to understand what you mean!

I am trying to hide a logical drive (D:)on an extended MS-DOS partition, on a 10 GB HDD, my OS is Win98 SE. Drive D: ocupies the entire extended partition. I want to hide the drive (undrer win98), not the partition. I hope this makes things sufficiantly clear.

TopHat2,

Backup the registry and/or export the following keys:
go to Start>Run, type regedit. Navigate to:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer

Right-click on the Explorer key, choose new>DWORD value, name it NoDrives. Right-click on that, choose modify, make sure decimal is chosen and type in the number 8.
