Hi here!!

Does any know how to disable maintenance port?, or in another words: how to disable system modem access from lucent resellers to my pbx?? (BellTech Lucent Definity BCS G3 v6)

Thanks you very much in advance for any suggestions!!
Sincerely
Conrado.

No, but how about as an immediate quickfix to change the analog line you have it plugged into. If they don't know the telephone number, they won't be able to dial in on it.

Hi,

Just a futher point to this - if you note the dial out number and then change it to an internal station and then do a "test inads" and grab the number off of the display.

Then, too disable it - just change the inads extension to a non-ddi number.

Hope this helps,

Any queries just ask,

Chris

Hi,

As an alternative you could also trace the aux pair back to the frame to find the port number and then do a "display port xxxx" to find the station number.

Hope this helps,

Chris

If you are in the USA, you can also disconnect the telephone line that plugs into the pbx and connect it into either a buttset or a regular analog telephone such as your house has, you can dial 990# and it will contact the CO and give you a recording stating the number you are dialing from.

I don't know if that works the same out of the country.
