>Matt....bite me.
No..
Actually I am glad that you have a solution that works for your customer.
IP office is a complex system, more complex than many phone systems. My boss has invested heavily in training for me and other staff. I earn my living working with IPO, as do many here. One of the side effects of the economic downturn is that many companies use cut price techs, who are usually grey market. When they run into issues that a RTFM, or basic training, would solve they run hot-foot to this forum, get a resolution and disappear. This sort of thing directly affects our business - customers cancel their maintenance and go cheap.
If this doesn't apply to you - then I apologise for any offence caused. If this describes you, then I don't mean to be offensive (and having re-read my previous post it is quite possible that I have... we all have bad days!) but many people on the forum share the same view
If you stick with IPO as a system - which it appears that you don't want to, you will find that a vendor training week will unlock much of the system's power and flexibility. I think you'd find it a very worthwhile thing to do.
Just to re-iterate, I am glad that you have finally got sorted with your customer, just make sure that the clock on the voicemail PC is correct (preferably sync'ed to an external source) and that your DST is set correctly (we in the UK have a time change in 3 weeks or so)
Take Care
Matt
I have always wished that my computer would be as easy to use as my telephone.
My wish has come true. I no longer know how to use my telephone.
