I need to set up a port of use with a VE8012B/VE8012BR paging system. I created an analog 2500 station. Then I created a CO trunk group and put that station in the incoming destination.

I'm not sure if this is the way. Wondering if anyone has had experience with this?

Thanks,
James

Definitely not the way to do it. Analog paging options would typically be:

1. Paging system with STATION interface - setup a 2500 set/station, plug it into paging unit, dial extension to page.

2. Paging system with TRUNK interface - build a C.O. or WATS trunk group, add 1 trunk port as a member, plug it into paging unit, dial TAC to page.

Hi CL,
Thanks for the info. I'm going to set up the #2 way. I'll let you know how it goes

I was able to set up the CO trunk. When they're testing by using the TAC code it is giving a busy signal. Do you know if there is a timeout/timer that I need to change on page on either page 2 or 4 of the trunk group? If we buyout the trunk it will will work once, but the next time it goes to a busy again.

Status the trunk after a successful page, it almost sounds like the port isn't hanging up after the page is complete.
